The moment took place on Saturday (December 13) at Blithfield Lakeside Barns in Rugeley, Staffordshire, per Metro, with Martin sneaking in incognito to perform ‘All My Love’, from 2024’s ‘Moon Music’.

It came after the groom’s mother had contacted the band, hoping to receive a video of Martin wishing the couple luck ahead of the ceremony.

However, Coldplay’s team reportedly replied, “We can do one better”, and vowed to show up on the big day.

Clips from the evening show Martin sneaking into the venue incognito, wearing jeans and a beanie, before playing the song in its entirety on piano.

At the end of the performance, he then congratulates the newlyweds before telling guests, “See you later”, and quickly departing.

According to Metro, the couple were at first unaware that it was Martin singing, with his appearance a complete surprise to them. Watch the moment below.

The track, which Martin previously said would be the band’s “final” single of their career, comes from Coldplay’s most recent album, ‘Moon Music’.

In a four-star review of the album, NME’s Rhian Daly wrote that the record “gently and subtly distils that spirit of weathering any storm, going on a journey from that bleak opening moment to a more accepting, happier ending.”

Martin gave NME an exclusive interview ahead of the album’s release, where he told us that the album “is kind of the story of waking up in the morning and feeling terrible about yourself, terrible about the world – depressed, isolated, separate, alone, and not able to be yourself.”

He went on to add: “Through the album, it’s a journey to feeling the complete opposite at the end of the day.”

Since then, the band have been on the road with their giant ‘Music Of The Spheres’ tour. The trek came to an end in September, after becoming the second tour to ever gross over $1billion, but Martin revealed at the penultimate show at Wembley that there are “138 more shows to go”, adding: “We have a break coming up, and we’ll announce the shows for 2027 soon.”
