Brighton’s Mutations Festival has added 71 new names to its 2026 line-up, including Dove Ellis, Squid and Working Men’s Club. See the full list below.

The two-day event will take place across 10 grassroots venues in the seaside city on Friday October 23 and Saturday October 24.
Mutations’ “most ambitious and exciting edition yet” is set to host performances from over 100 of “the most exciting international breakthrough and established artists”, according to organisers.
These are led by Friday night headliners Fat Dog and Saturday bill-topper Mike D of Beastie Boys – both of whom were confirmed last month.
Today (Wednesday August 5), Mutations has shared its first wave of acts who’ll be performing in Brighton this year.
Dove Ellis – whose debut album ‘Blizzard’ has been shortlisted for the 2026 Mercury Prize – will take to the stage on October 24, as will Alex Cameron, NME 100 alumni TTSSFU, Pulled Apart By Horses, Georgia Mooney, Liz Lawrence, Florentenes and more.

Leading the new additions for October 23 are Brighton’s own Squid, whose latest record ‘Cowards’ arrived early last year, ahead of the standalone song ‘The Hearth And Circle Round Fire’.
The Friday bill also includes Yorkshire’s Working Men’s Club, who dropped their second album ‘Fear Fear’ in 2022, as well as Squid, Bdrmm, Insecure Men, Max Winter, and former NME Cover stars Lip Critic.

Meanwhile, Dove Ellis has announced a UK are Ireland headline tour for later this year. NME gave the indie folk artist’s show at London’s Alexandra Palace Theatre this April a glowing four-and-a-half-star review, praising his “captivating voice” and “unpredictable approach”.
It added: “Though he could push his sound to be a bit more personal, he’s already armed with a generational voice, an explorative mindset and a singular writing style. Something exciting is bound to emerge from the storm.”
In a four-star review of ‘Blizzard’, NME described the record as “mostly a collection of solid guitar songs, and it captures the insatiable energy that’s garnered Ellis his critical acclaim so early in his career”.
Later this month, he’ll appear at Tyler, The Creator’s takeover of All Points East at Victoria Park in London.
