The animatronic golden stallion was debuted at the singer’s first concert in Atlanta on Thursday (July 10) while she performed ‘16 Carriages’. She had previously sung the ‘Cowboy Carter‘ single atop a levitating car, but a technical mishap appears to have prompted her to change the set piece.

A consistent feature of the show until recently was Beyoncé’s red car, which she rides above the stage and over the crowd. On June 28, her homecoming Houston show drew to an abrupt halt when it got stuck briefly in the air during ’16 Carriages’, prompting fans to praise her composure but urge her to use something else.

In clips shared from her recent show at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium – where she’s set to play three more shows from tonight (July 11) through to 13-14 – the Grammy winner can be seen straddling the robotic horse, whose legs move as though it’s walking above gig-goers.

Beyoncé’s remaining 2025 ‘Cowboy Carter’ dates are:

JULY
11 – Atlanta – Mercedes Benz Stadium
13 – Atlanta – Mercedes Benz Stadium
14 – Atlanta – Mercedes Benz Stadium
25 – Las Vegas –
Allegiant Stadium

‘Cowboy Carter’ came in at Number Seven on NME‘s 50 best albums of 2024 list, with ’16 Carriages’ named the eighth best song of the year.

Earlier this year, Beyoncé also won the coveted Album Of The Year award at the Grammys 2025 with the record. With a total of 99 nods, she singer is now the most nominated artist in Grammy history. She also holds the record for most Grammy wins, now with 35. Additionally, she is the first Black woman to have won the Best Country Album prize.

When ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour hit the capital at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this year, it earned her a glowing five-star review, with Nick Levine writing for NME: “As a performer, she remains pretty much flawless – who else can sing from a bucking mechanical bull without missing a note? And as a creator of stadium spectacle, she keeps getting better. No one leaving this show will be removing their cowboy hat on the ride home.”

Beyoncé last hit the road in 2023 in support of her previous studio album, ‘Renaissance’. It was one of the highest-grossing tours of all time, taking in a reported $579million (£455.7million) in revenue.
