Five members of the Bridesmaids cast reunited at the Oscars in Los Angeles this evening (March 15).
Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Ellie Kemper came together to present two awards at cinema’s biggest night – for Original Score and Best Sound.

Wiig, who co-wrote the beloved 2011 comedy film with Annie Mumolo, noted that Bridesmaids is turning 15 this year. “We are not good with numbers, but we figured out backstage that means we shot this movie in 1883,” she joked.
A producer then came on stage to hand the five actresses supposed ‘notes’ from fellow stars attending this year’s Oscars.
Byrne drew a big laugh for reading out her ‘note’, which read: “Rose, can you please stop looking at me? The eye contact is too much. I’m thinking of leaving. I’m very uncomfortable. Sincerely, Leonardo DiCaprio.”
Byrne then quipped in response: “I apologise. I have been staring at you. I thought you were somebody else.”
Meanwhile, McCarthy’s note, supposedly from Stellan Skarsgård, stated: “All the things that you’ve done to your faces are very tasteful.”

Byrne was nominated for Best Actress at this year’s Oscars for her performance in If I Had Legs, I’d Kill You, but lost out to Hamnet star Jessie Buckley.
When it was released in 2011, Bridesmaids received widespread praise for its witty script, sharp performances and female-led take on the R-rated comedy genre. McCarthy was nominated for Best Supporting Actress that year, while Wiig and Mumolo picked up a Best Original Screenplay nomination.

One Battle After Another led the way at the 2026 Oscars tonight (March 15), taking home six awards from 13 nominations.
In addition to winning the prestigious Best Picture prize, the film’s writer-director, Paul Thomas Anderson, collected the awards for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.
His film also won for Best Casting – a new category this year – as well as Best Editing and Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn.
