Bring Me The Horizon have shared an album of lo-fi reworkings of some of their biggest songs.

Earlier this week, the Sheffield metal band shared that they had collaborated with producers from the lo-fi scene to launch the new project, which frontman Oli Sykes described as “utility music” to be listened to in moments of quiet and creativity.

“The original idea for our ‘go to’ record was actually something more chill, a record you could put on while studying or zoning out,” he said of the new music, which you can stream here.

“It ended up way more chaotic than I originally intended. So I guess this is another attempt at creating something low key. I listen to a lot of lo-fi when I’m working or feeling anxious, so I hope this record can do the same for others.”

The ‘Lo-files’ tracklist is:

The atmospheric album drop comes ahead of their headline slot at Reading & Leeds 2025 next month, and Sykes told NME last December that they have “a few more songs” ready for the shows. That followed previous teases that there are songs as part of ‘Nex Gen: Director’s Cut’ that he would like to release.

The band have also announced a North American arena tour for autumn 2025 – see all the dates here – and they will also appear at Louder Than Life festival in the US in September.

The Sheffield band released their seventh and latest studio album, ‘Post Human: Nex Gen’, last May. It was later named as one of NME‘s best albums of 2024, and praised for “set[ting] new bars for modern metal”.

Speaking to NME at the BRITs 2025 earlier this year, Sykes explained that BMTH will need to take some time off “at some point, it’s just about finding that time”. He continued: “I think we need to go away for a bit, but it’s hard because there is always so much we want to do and so many places we want to tour.”

On that note, Sykes told NME last year that the Reading & Leeds shows will be their “final shows before we go away for maybe quite some time,” confirming that they will mark the end of the ‘Nex Gen’ run “for sure”.
