The Jay Kelly star, his wife Amal and their two children, have been confirmed according to an official decree in France’s government gazette via The Guardian.
It comes after Clooney recently told RTL radio earlier this month: “I love the French culture, your language, even if I’m still bad at it after 400 days of courses,” before adding: “Here, they don’t take photos of kids. There aren’t any paparazzi hidden at the school gates. That’s number one for us.”
He went on to say that although the family travels frequently, their home in France “is where we’re happiest”.

Their property in southern France – a former wine estate called the Domaine du Canadel, near the village of Brignoles – was purchased in 2021.
Clooney also owns an estate in Italy’s Lake Como region, purchased in 2002, and he and his wife also bought a historic manor in England along with a New York apartment and a property in Kentucky. They have reportedly sold homes in Los Angeles and Mexico over the past decade.
His latest film, Jay Kelly, which also stars Adam Sandler, hit cinemas last month. The comedy recently received four stars from NME’s Matthew Turner who described the film as “easily one of the Hollywood heavyweight’s most enjoyable performances to date.”
Elsewhere, Sandler and Clooney recently revealed their favourite albums to NME.
The former hailed Hole’s 1994 release ‘Live Through This’. “You know what entire album I listened to? No problem. Hole, ‘Live Through This,” he said.
Clooney meanwhile went for The Beatles’ classic ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’.
“There’s not a bad track on it,” he enthused. “The way we thought about things changed and the music changed. So when I listen to those songs, you know, my wife, it’s funny because you know, she knows all the Beatles songs, but a lot of times it’ll be because somebody else sang them. She’ll be like, ‘Oh, yeah, that’s…’ and I go, “No, no, no, no, no. That’s The Beatles.”
‘Jay Kelly’ is currently streaming on Netflix now.
