Over the course of their record-setting performance, the group performed hit after hit, kicking off with ‘Yellow’, and ending with their latest single, ‘feelslikeimfallinginlove’. Along the way, they debuted a new song with Little Simz.

Later on, they performed their BTS collab, ‘My Universe’. While the K-pop band weren’t physically present, Martin gave them a shout-out, before projections of the South Korean act were displayed on the tip of the Pyramid Stage. You can find more info on that performance here.

However, during their encore – during which Coldplay typically freestyle verses about the fans who show up on the jumbotron – Chris Martin and co. celebrated two very special people: Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis, and legendary actor Michael J. Fox.

While footage of Coldplay’s interaction with Micheal Eavis doesn’t appear to be on social media at the time being, Martin thanks Michael for founding Glastonbury.

After shouting out Michael J. Fox, the actor joined the band onstage to play guitar on two songs: ‘Humankind’, which also featured all of Coldplay’s past performers of the night, and ‘Fix You’.

During ‘Fix You’, Martin sings “Go, Johnny, go!” as Fox plays the guitar, a reference to Fox’s iconic Back To The Future film.

Still set to come this weekend are performances from SZA, Shania Twain, Janelle Monae, The National, Two Door Cinema Club, Avril Lavigne, Justice, Nia Archives, James Blake, Alvvays, Romy and more.

Camila Cabello’s chaotic set scored a three-star rating, while Dua Lipa’s Friday headlining performance earned her four-stars. IDLES and Fontaines D.C nabbed perfect five-star ratings as did the festival’s first K-pop performers SEVENTEEN.
