How to watch ‘The Traitors Ireland’ in the UK 

The Irish version of The Traitors has launched, but how can fans of the show in the UK watch along? Find out below.

The first season of the country’s iteration of the hit reality show premiered on Sunday (August 31), with Derry Girls actor Siobhán McSweeney taking on hosting duties.

The show was filmed at Slane Castle in County Meath earlier this year, with all 24 contestants being holed up together. A small group are selected to be ‘Traitors’ who have to stay undetected while they secretly try to ‘murder’ the ‘Faithful’, who in turn try to work together to eliminate the traitors. The contestants also work together to complete challenges and earn a €50,000 cash prize.

There have been three seasons of the UK version of The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, with the fourth finishing up this week following he first celebrity season – featuring the likes of Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Charlotte Church and Paloma Faith.

How to watch The Traitors Ireland in the UK

The series kicked off in August on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player in the Republic of Ireland, the country’s flagship television and streaming services.

While RTÉ One and RTÉ Player are also available with many TV packages in Northern Ireland, they are not available for viewers in the rest of the UK.

However, it was confirmed over the weekend that The Traitors Ireland will be coming to the BBC One and iPlayer. The first two episodes will be released on Saturday (January 24) with episodes three and four available the following day. The rest of the series will follow but exact release details have yet to be confirmed.
