PlayStation Plus is similar to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, with subscribers able to access a library of games and take advantage of a variety of online features across three different tiers.

Essential gives players access to a select number of games that rotate monthly, as well as enabling online multiplayer for £6.99 a month. Extra is available for £10.99 and gives subscribers access to Game Catalogue, a library of “hundreds of games from genre-defining blockbusters to innovative indies”. Premium adds more classic titles and game trials to the offering for £13.49 a month.

Earlier this month, six new titles were confirmed for the Essential tier – LEGO Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3,The Outlast Trials, Synduality: Echo Of Ada and Neon White. Now the Premium and Extra games have been announced.

“This month, stalk the streets of ancient Baghdad in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, cut down demons across a fallen empire in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, shred through hell’s underworld in Skate Story, or soar among the clouds in Granblue Fantasy: Relink,” Sony wrote in an announcement blog.

Sony has confirmed that from the start of 2026, Playstation Plus will be “shifting focus” to the PS5. “PS4 games will no longer be a key benefit and will only be occasionally offered for PlayStation Plus Monthly Games and Game Catalog starting January 2026,” explained a statement. “We may still provide titles that can be playable on both PS4 and PS5 consoles after this date.”

It comes as rumours about the PS6 have started to appear online. According to reports, the console is due to launch in 2027 alongside a handheld console to rival the Nintendo Switch 2. However, some experts have warned that the Grand Theft Auto 6 delay could push the PS6 launch to 2028.
