‘Skins’ star Megan Prescott teams up with Adam McKay for NSFW climate change series

Skins star Megan Prescott has teamed up with director Adam McKay for an NSFW series of short films that will tackle the climate crisis.

The actor, who played Katie Fitch in the E4 teen drama, is now an established OnlyFans creator and a vocal advocate around sex work, agency and representation.

She has co-created the new film series, dubbed Headline Newds, an eight-part series to be fronted by different OnlyFans creators. Each film will use sexual, direct-to-camera addresses to bring clear and memorable explanations of hot-button issues relating to climate change.

The films have been made in conjunction with Yellow Dot Studios, the non-profit studio headed up by Oscar-winner McKay, known for The Big ShortAnchorman and Don’t Look Up, and they will be broadcast on YouTube, Instagram and OnlyFans.

A press release has explained: “When complex issues feel overwhelming, people often disengage. By using sex-positive online culture and the creator economy, the series breaks down big climate topics into short, punchy explainers, making the conversation feel more accessible and placing climate messaging within the digital spaces audiences already use to consume content and news, rather than expecting them to seek out traditional environmental content.”

Prescott will front an episode titled The Sun Is Daddy, which will explore how the sun provides enough free energy each day to power the world many times over, and the importance of solar energy funding.

Other films will be presented by Bree Essrig, Sabrina Jade, Eva Oh, Kat Baker, Ivy Maddox, Rebecca Crow and Lara Knox, and topics covered will range from fossil fuel financing to the rise in global temperatures and the science behind extreme weather events.

McKay has said: “Hotness is great on OnlyFans, but when the hotness pertains to oil companies cooking the planet just to boost their stock price, it (to use a scientific term) sucks.”

Episodes in the Headline Newds series will be released every Tuesday and Thursday starting on April 7.
