The internet is remembering Kim Woodburn’s chaotic ‘Big Brother’ stint

Kim Woodburn is being remembered for her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.

It comes following the announcement of the 83-year-old’s death after a short illness yesterday (June 17).

Woodburn presented the Channel 4 show How Clean Is Your House from 2003 to 2009, but fans are remembering her for her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017. She also finished runner-up to Gino D’Acampo on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2009.

“Kim Woodburn is a solidified British TV icon. Just pure telly gold from How Clean Is Your House? to I’m a Celeb… and who could forget her infamous stint on Celebrity Big Brother. RIP Kim, thanks for the laughs,” wrote one fan.

Another drew attention to her shooting down Jedward during her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother while the duo themselves paid their respects, adding: “Rest in Peace Kim Woodburn you will forever be our Celebrity Big Brother Friend! We grew up watching you and to share those memories together you will be truly missed for the tv gold you created for all generations.”

Big Brother also shared a montage of her time on the show, adding: “RIP Kim Woodburn.”

Following Woodburn’s death, her manager told BBC News: “It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness.

“Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate.

“We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career.”

Her other reality show stints included Celebrity Come Dine With MeLet’s Dance for Comic Relief and A Place In The Sun: Winter Sun, on which she appeared alongside her husband.

She also appeared on E4’s Celebrity Cooking School, as well as regularly contributing to ITV’s This Morning and Loose Women.
