The Slow Readers Club have announced a UK tour in celebration of the 10th anniversary of ‘Cavalcade’.
The Manchester rock band self-released ‘Cavalcade’, their second album, in 2015. The fan-favourite LP led to their breakthrough, and included songs like ‘Plant The Seed’, ‘I Saw A Ghost’ and ‘Forever In Your Debt’.
Now, they’re set to revisit it with a string of UK shows scheduled for later this year, coined ‘A Decade of Cavalcade’, which will see them perform it in full alongside other songs from their discography.
They’ll kick things off with a show at Birmingham’s O2 Institute on December 5, before playing at London’s Islington Assembly Hall, Sheffield’s Leadmill and Newcastle University. From there, they’ll head to Glasgow’s Oran Mor on December 12, before wrapping up the tour with a hometown show at Manchester Academy on December 13.

Speaking ahead of the tour, frontman Aaron Starkie said: “Cavalcade was the album that changed everything for us. It connected with so many people and set us on this journey. To revisit it ten years later, at a time when we’re reaching new heights, feels really special. We can’t wait to celebrate it with our fans.”
On March 21, the band self-released their most recent album ‘Out Of A Dream’, which reached Number 11 in the UK Official Album Charts within its first week. Per a press release, the upcoming tour marks “both a reflection on the past and a celebration of what’s still to come”. See a full list of dates below.

Alongside the tour announcement, the band have announced that they will be releasing a special anniversary edition of ‘Cavalcade’ in new physical formats, including vinyl, CD and cassette. This will come alongside exclusive anniversary merch, available on the band’s webstore here.
