Later, Tyler also responded to a fan who replied to the list and questioned why it included one of his own tracks, ‘Judge Judy’ from his latest album ‘Chromakopia’. Addressing the inclusion of his own song, the artist wrote: “Yeah I like the music I make, I’m confused on the question”.
Elsewhere, the rapper shared another update on social media, this time sharing a list of his top moments from throughout the year. This included huge milestones like releasing his latest album, headlining Coachella 2024, collaborating with Louis Vuitton and rapping over a Kendrick Lamar song.
The latter refers to the new release ‘That Guy’, which arrived on Christmas Day and came as a freestyle over Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Hey Now’. “Merry Christmas. had fun with it,” he wrote alongside a link to the new music video, directed by Tyler and featuring cameos from Odd Future’s Jasper Dolphin, Travis “Taco” Bennett, and Lionel “L-Boy” Boyce.

Tyler also used the holiday season to celebrate the 15th anniversary of ‘Bastard’, his debut studio album from 2009. “Thank you to everyone who listened to anything over the years,” he wrote. “[It] was in such a different zone musically and as a person, but was determined to be who I am today.”
The rapper shared his seventh album ‘Chromakopia’ in late October and the release was given a three-star review by NME.
“Within the chaos [of the album], there’s beauty – the sensitivity of ‘Hey Jane’, the infectious hip-hop bite of ‘Thought I Was Dead’, the rising cacophonies of brass and percussion on ‘I Killed You’. But perhaps a less frantic approach would’ve benefited the listen overall,” it read.
Tyler, The Creator wasn’t the only one to share his top songs of 2024 last month. NME also dropped a huge list of the best tracks of the year at the start of December and included huge songs including Tyler’s own ‘Sticky’, which featured GloRilla, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne.
“Short, adrenaline-fuelled verses are now the name of the hyperstimulated game, and on ‘Sticky’, Tyler is winning,” it read. “Between the earworm choruses, the all-star line-up of GloRilla, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne join the cafeteria-table freestyle; combine that with horns, a drumline and thumping bass and you get a thrilling, unpredictable banger.”
Other tracks featured included ‘Alone’, the first single by The Cure in 16 years, Billie Eilish’s ‘Birds Of A Feather’, Charli XCX’s ‘365’, Fontaines D.C.’s ‘Starburster’, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ and Chappell Roan’s ‘Good Luck, Babe!’.
