The New Jersey rock veterans were wrapping up the ninth and final night of their ‘Forever’ residency at the iconic New York venue last night (July 26) when Springsteen emerged for the final two songs of the show.

Introducing him as “the king of the great state of New Jersey”, Jon Bon Jovi welcomed The Boss to the stage for a rendition of the band’s 2005 track ‘Who Says You Can’t Go Home’.

The two singers shared lead vocals on the song before they closed the concert with a cover of Springsteen’s 1978 classic ‘The Promised Land’.

The performance was the latest in a series of collaborations between the two New Jersey musicians. Last month, Jon Bon Jovi joined Springsteen, Public Enemy and others for a star-studded show celebrating the opening of the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music.

Springsteen also appeared on ‘Hollow Man’, which featured on Bon Jovi’s collaborative ‘Forever’ album last year.

The appearance also came just three days after Jon Bon Jovi was forced to cut the band’s previous Madison Square Garden show short due to a sinus infection. The frontman ended the concert after around 90 minutes, telling fans: “I know I’m letting you down and it’s not like me to do that.”

“We’re gonna do one more song, and I’m gonna need your help,” he continued. “We might have to cool it because I’m fucking hurting.” He asked fans to retain their tickets and said the band would “figure something out” regarding the shortened performance.

The ‘Forever’ tour marks Bon Jovi’s return to large-scale touring following Jon Bon Jovi’s major vocal cord surgery in 2022. Last month, the singer confirmed that he was now “fully recovered” from the operation.

The band will bring the tour to the UK and Ireland next month, beginning at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 28. They will then play Dublin’s Croke Park before concluding the run with three shows at Wembley Stadium. Find any remaining tickets here.

Bon Jovi’s remaining 2026 tour dates are:

AUGUST
28 – Edinburgh, Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium
30 – Dublin, Croke Park

SEPTEMBER
4 – London, Wembley Stadium
6 – London, Wembley Stadium
9 – London, Wembley Stadium

Elsewhere, Springsteen has continued to speak out against Donald Trump and his administration. Earlier this month, he described himself as a “patriot” who believed in “critical patriotism”.

His comments later drew criticism from Journey’s Jonathan Cain, who called The Boss “an annoying, bitter old man” who “should shut up” about politics.
